This original painting captures the depressing reality of central Florida’s local color through a lens of vibrant colors and bold shapes.

The Florida I loved is long gone… vanished due to strip mall expansion, parking lots, endless Ryan cul-de-sacs, and private fencing covering every square inch of land. Dollar stores are popping up faster than weeds. My parents worked for decades to shape 100 acres of heritage swampland into the most beautiful nature preserve but it is now flanked by an ever expanding capitalist wasteland of homogenized franchises and expressways.
