This started out as a drawing that did not feel cohesive with the series. Cool but off brand.
This may be the most spontaneous painting of the group. I started by shaping the concentric circles into what felt like graphic ripples, cut the horizon line in, & shaped the head into this wide eyed swimmer. The jaw bone & dilated pupils work as the vocabulary for states of being… a dream state in a magical place.. I love how simple and graphic the concept became over time.
