Print Shop Update Q1 2024

Added on by SINC.

Happy to present two new editions as well as a refreshed launch of some classics I am personally fond of. I’m posting the current lineup for this initial update along with the narrative behind each illustration. Thank you all for the support!

Vows © SINC 2024

This image is a story about change, evolution, and healing. We see a man with a corrupted mind and lungs. In the right hand, represented by a piercing arrow,  we see his intentions to harm himself or hurt others. In the left hand we see a new discovery, a positive influence, represented by a colorful flower. The flower is a distraction from his negative tendencies. The potent smell invading his body causes the man to relax his grip on the arrow and let go of who he was, becoming something new. Healing over time.

Feel The Void © SINC 2024

This image depicts the cycle of life and death. We see Mother comforting a fragile doe, asking it to rest easy now. The body is merely a vessel of offal. In opposing corners we see death rising and life spring anew. I wanted to portray familiar sadness with a sense of grace and comfort. Fractured elements and floral patterns intend to compose a scene that is folksy, almost quilt like.

Google Attacks The Farm © SINC 2014

“Some damn intelligent phone led that damn Google to the farm!” File under “Funny shit my father says.”

Taller Men Know The Wind © SINC 2014

This painting is for my Father;  A stag with a stubborn head and a quiet heart. A proud stone, capable of withstanding a never-ending rain of arrows. A man who has dedicated his life’s work to the conservation of this land. He is a Thistle, iconic and thorny.

Meanwhile © SINC 2014

This Illustration represents a specific point in time, post-college, Circa 1996. Cut to Four art school grads squatting in a South Boston loft. The narrative depicts the first of our crew to depart and follow the “faster horses.” It took the rest of us far too long to understand why we had lost a brother in arms. The scout uniform, rabbit mask, and bone identify the “good guy” in our story.

Goes To Eleven © SINC 2014

This image depicts a tangle dragging the mighty down. A weight creating a ripple. A tribute to a dear friend of mine with whom I lost touch. This painting is for Kevin and his best friend Eleven. It is for his broken heart and the healing that lay ahead.
