SINC Sauces (open source)

Added on by SINC.

Had a great garden this year. As per usual, hot sauce was the plan for the pepper haul.

This year we grew Jimmy Nardello (very sweet,) Jalapenos, and Scotch Bonnets.

I have made sauces three years in a row now. This years offerings are by far the best and most consistent… and documented! Feel free to try and replicate or let me know what you would change PLEASE!!!

Manic Compression "cover"

Was really hoping this one made the cut, sadly it did not. This is an homage to the album art that lit my fuse.

OG Melinda Beck. I was obsessed with this artwork.

My version - Panic Depression

This was so much fun and such a passion project. For the texture collage I used photos I snapped around Brooklyn. Most of these images are of spots along Bedford in Bed Stuy.

Translating the characters was so much fun. I really struggled fitting the guy in the middle. I was so in love with the two bros on the left and right I had to awkwardly fit him in there to match the hand position.

Stripes were a new thing I thought i would try. Alternating the value and color of the stripe as it travelled to simulate shadow and light was cool. The shading could have been done quickly with an overlay fill but the crummy-ness of the hand drawn lines is intentional and i love the way they turned out.

90's Tampa/ ST Pete SINC Flyers

Added on by SINC.

Chances are if you went to any show in the Tampa / Saint Petersburg area in the 90’s, I did the shit flyer for it through No Clubs. The artistry makes me cringe but the memories are golden.

Dice!

A simple dice game my family and I play. My mother had the rules scribbled on an aging napkin so I made her this fancy one she can have on the card table.

Please feel free to copy this an play!

Rooster logo FYI

A quick breakdown of the concept behind this graphic…

Sinclair Family Crest

I really wanted to reference my family crest, fitting well with the SINC in SINClair theme I already had going.

I chose the head and the cock’s comb as the iconic element to focus on.

Replaced “committing to god” with a dagger for the beak seam (cause knives are sweet!) The dagger hilt also forms a crossed out eye (because I guess the rooster is dead?)

Cool Dead Knife Rooster I guess ? Now that I break it down, maybe I need a new logo?

One day Ill get tired of this and make a new masthead for the site. I’m still feeling clever for this one at the moment. Cheers!

2025 Goals

Added on by SINC.

I have some brand new professional photography equipment and entire wall dedicated to blank panels getting filled in. The homepage will continue to get filled out as these paintings are finished. I’m shooting for 1 a week right now. Each is taking me roughly 7-8 days right now. I’m also hoping to finish this series with 20 brand new original paintings in total, each for sale when the show is put together.

The plan is to hold an opening night party, somewhere, hang with old friends/meet new ones, and look at real paintings. TBD for details.

The wall of goals.

Maker-Bot... Bot

Maker-Bot experiment!

Let me come right out and fully admit that this is absolutely a poor man's rip-off of a Ashley Wood/3A Robot. My desk is covered with 3A vinyl, and simplifying one of them in spirit seemed like a fine, low poly, idea for my first 3d printer experiment.

I was really interested in answering a few questions that were plaguing me as I thought more and more about 3D printer application.  What type of surface does the texture of the material create? Was the material solvent with specific chemicals such as acetone? How would the paint stick to the surface of this strange substance? Not a total disaster but far from perfect.

Check out the printer here.

Step 1 - Purchase a Graphic Artist Guild Handbook!

Added on by SINC.

One of the most valuable pieces of advice imparted to me by faculty at Ringling, was to purchase and reference the Graphic Artist Guild Pricing & Ethical Guidelines Handbook.

This book will help you learn to price your work and time according to the industry standards as well as help you to navigate the complex sea of usage rights, quarterly tax submission, kill fees, and client contracts.

A must buy for the fledgling freelance artist.
